Conflict of Interest
The Indonesian Health Science Journal (IHSJ) is committed to ensuring transparency, objectivity, and integrity throughout the publication process. All authors, editors, and reviewers are required to disclose any potential conflicts of interest that could influence, or be perceived to influence, the research, manuscript evaluation, or editorial decisions.
Authors' Responsibilities
Authors must disclose any financial, professional, personal, or institutional relationships that may affect the conduct, interpretation, or reporting of their research. Such conflicts may include research funding, employment, consultancy, honoraria, personal relationships, or financial interests related to the subject of the manuscript.
If no conflicts of interest exist, authors should include a statement such as: “The authors declare no conflicts of interest.”
Editors' Responsibilities
Editors must avoid handling manuscripts in which they have a conflict of interest, including manuscripts authored by colleagues, collaborators, family members, or individuals with whom they have close professional or personal relationships. In such cases, the manuscript should be assigned to an independent editor to ensure an impartial editorial decision.
Reviewers' Responsibilities
Reviewers must disclose any conflicts of interest that could affect their impartiality. Reviewers should decline an invitation to review a manuscript if they have a competing interest, a close professional or personal relationship with the authors, or any other circumstance that could compromise the fairness of their evaluation.
Management of Conflicts of Interest
The IHSJ Editorial Board will assess disclosed conflicts of interest and take appropriate measures to protect the integrity and fairness of the publication process. These measures may include assigning an independent editor or reviewer, requesting additional disclosures, or taking other appropriate actions when necessary.
Failure to disclose a relevant conflict of interest may result in editorial action, including rejection of a manuscript or corrective action for a published article, depending on the circumstances.
The Indonesian Health Science Journal (IHSJ) expects all parties involved in the publication process to act transparently and responsibly to maintain trust in the journal and the integrity of scholarly research.
