Allegation of Research Misconduct
Authorship Criteria
Authorship Criteria
The Indonesian Health Science Journal (IHSJ) recognizes authorship as an important academic responsibility that reflects an individual's contribution to the research and the preparation of a scientific manuscript. Authorship must be based on substantial intellectual and scientific contributions, and all authors are expected to take responsibility for the integrity and accuracy of the work.
Criteria for Authorship
To qualify as an author, an individual must meet the following criteria:
- Make substantial contributions to the conception or design of the study, data collection, analysis, or interpretation of research findings.
- Participate in drafting the manuscript or critically revising it for important intellectual content.
- Approve the final version of the manuscript before submission and publication.
- Accept accountability for their contributions and cooperate in addressing questions regarding the accuracy or integrity of the work.
Individuals who do not meet these criteria should be acknowledged appropriately rather than listed as authors.
Corresponding Author
The corresponding author is responsible for communication with the IHSJ Editorial Board throughout the submission, peer-review, revision, and publication processes. The corresponding author must ensure that all authors have reviewed and approved the manuscript, agreed to the author list and order, and consented to its submission to IHSJ.
Author Contributions and Acknowledgments
Authors are encouraged to clearly describe their respective contributions to the research and manuscript, including conceptualization, methodology, data collection, data analysis, writing, reviewing, and editing.
Individuals who provide technical assistance, administrative support, or other contributions that do not meet the authorship criteria may be acknowledged with their permission.
Changes in Authorship
Any request to add, remove, or rearrange authors after submission must include a clear justification and written agreement from all affected authors. Such changes are subject to review and approval by the Editorial Board.
Unacceptable Authorship Practices
IHSJ does not permit gift or honorary authorship, ghost authorship, or unauthorized changes to the author list. Suspected authorship violations may be reviewed by the Editorial Board, which may request clarification or supporting documentation from the authors or their affiliated institutions.
Ethical Responsibility
By submitting a manuscript to IHSJ, authors confirm that the listed authors meet the journal's authorship criteria, that the author list has been agreed upon by all authors, and that the contributions of other individuals have been appropriately acknowledged.
The Indonesian Health Science Journal (IHSJ) reserves the right to take appropriate editorial action when authorship information is found to be inaccurate, misleading, or inconsistent with this policy.
